I often find myself in the liminal spaces between reality, one’s own perception, and the supernatural. Intertwined with my fascination for nature, handcrafts and different cultures, they also often include elements from folklore and ancient myths. In my art, I often express this idea of being “in-between” through dark or foggy landscapes, where things constantly emerge and re-merge with their background as if they were ghostly artefacts. At the center are often lonely figures that are trapped in this state of belonging to neither the real nor obscured world.

I was born in Northwestern Switzerland in 1997, where I spent most of my life. In 2023 I graduated magna cum laude from a BA in Eastern European Studies and Japanese Studies. Moving to Finland and being admitted to the Fine Arts Program at TAMK in early 2025, however, felt like the perfect opportunity to heed my inner call to finally become an artist. I currently live in Tampere with my husband.

My personal work is mostly traditional: tempera paintings, mixed media and pencil drawings as well as a variety of printing techniques. But I also enjoy exploring more graphic work for e.g. TAMK’s Observational Film Club or Tarina ry.

In my free time, I pursue photography and enjoy hand-sewing my own clothes from recycled and repurposed materials.
